In the first diagram, the chord notes are shown.

In the second example the numbers show you where to put your fingers.

For this chord you would only use your index, second and third fingers. Keep in mind you do not have to use these finger assignments. You can use whatever fingers you choose, however, this is generally the first learned and most often used configuration.
